ABOUT VESTERHEIM LODGE
Vesterheim is a welcoming and culturally active group. We participate in Trollheim's annual Christmas Fair, and some members volunteer at the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Estes Park. The crafts we sell at the Christmas Fair are made by women in our Crafts Group, who meet monthly in various host homes. Vesterheim women meet third Tuesdays at host homes for a Women's Afternoon Social. Our Book Club meets monthly at "The Egg & I" to discuss works by Scandinavian authors. We have a small Library of books related to Scandinavia (fiction and non-fiction) which can be checked out by our members. Some of our members take a weekly Norwegian class, and meet one Saturday a month at the Brewing Market for a Conversation Table. We help the city out on Jay Road with a biannual Spring & Fall Clean-up. Each year we participate in the Lights of December Parade in downtown Boulder, hold a Christmas Party, celebrate the 17 Mai Norwegian holiday, and have a Scandinavian summer potluck at a member's home.
Come visit us at one of our monthly General Meetings, where there is always good food and an interesting program.
We welcome all of Norwegian descent, and also those who have an interest in Scandinavian culture or heritage. You do not need to be Norwegian to participate or join, just a genuine interest in all things Scandinavian!
